Pen and Ink on bristol board. i will color it all soon and post that version too.
Well, the gang's all here.
This is in "Portraits" because it's myself and Dion, and our two cats, during what has become our routine snuggle-time... Zara is our big boy cat with no tail, Rune is our dingy little girl cat. the cats pile in to cuddle around noon because Dion works nights and comes home to sleep then, and usually i'm already asleep, from being up late... there is something precious about the quiet moments.
That's the way it is here too, but usually there's a dog thrown in there somewhere. Great peice, can't wait to see it colored.

Ok, so let me get this straight… I’m the designated crazy one of this department because I like driving 25 miles and then paying some guy so he can stick several needles into my body and make pretty little patterns permanently in my skin?
This is a beautiful peice. I love the rough texture of the lines, and how very few lines end up making your eyes complete the picture. I only have one cat, and somedays im lucky to have a similar love pile in my bed. Beautiful work :+fave:

You do not fail if you do not succeed the first time or the second, you only fail if you stop trying.

I love it. it's the description, though—it would just be a nice drawing without it. granted, a nice drawing is already better than most drawings, but the words behind it make it wonderful.
"There is something precious about the quiet moments" would be a great title for this. Maybe a little long, but it really captures the essence of this excellent drawing.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Please FULL VIEW all these amazing pieces of ART. Visit the artists pages and give them a :+fav and your support. Thank you for taking the time........
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
