The Naga is primarily from Buddhist and Hindu traditions, some are good and others are evil, they come in male and female. Naga means loosely, "king of snakes". They feature in many legends, sometimes as heroes, sometimes as villians.

Remembering Kipling's 'Riki-tiki-tavi' story. Weren't the cobras named Naga and Nagira? Thought I read somewhere that some naga's could fly. Think I'll throw a few silver pieces her way, though.
