I did the same thing in high school to very near or same degree only with a pencil and no words or pattern. Ah nostalgia, hmm think I threw that in the garbage or maybe just misplaced. oh, I'm getting off subject here. ok you say this is biographical with you being an artist wo is a painter my question is: how are they so clean? is this a series, or is this all there is to you? nice portrait btw
-- "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr.Seuss Yes the text certainly has a personal effect, especially since it can't be read. To tell you the truth, my friends would probably associate me with my own boots (slight heel, lace up ones). The light and shadow are perfect although I can't help but think the lighting is a little off underneath. It's not very noticable, so I'm probably just being picky. The folds are gorgeous, and I love the contrast of colour on the inside. Apart from that, they are an awesome pair of boots hehe.
they were beat. they were "clean" in that there wasn't mud on em, but the heels were falling off and both were worn to the left, so if you put them on you'd lean left. but as far as "is that all there is?" i don't know why you would ask. when you take a photograph of a person, is that all there is? i wore these boots almost every day while around the time i painted them, but i had to ditch them because i was developing scoliosis and the boots were worn down so badly they weren't helping. the text is sloppily transcribed from a journal detailing fragments of an emotionally abusive relationship that i was in. you're not supposed to be able to read it, i wanted to share without sharing. ha ha.... i made a sand casting of the boots and cast them in glass. i really liked those cheap-ass goth boots. sigh....
