watercolor piece, done as a commission. this is the first time i have ever used watercolors to create somthing so elaborate. it was a lot of experimenting, and i almost wrecked the paper because it wasn't sturdy enough to absorb all the paint i was trying to use. it's not really a subject i would have chosen myself, either, but i do like it. not exactly how i had envisioned it turning out, it very much grew this way... she wanted "a herd of horses emerging from the ocean".. it reminds me of "The last Unicorn" when all the unicorns come out of the sea. at any rate, at least now you know i am still making things, on occasion!
